Feedback on bare metal plans
Hi,
I'm planning our expansion into the dedicated server market and looking for some feedback on potential plans.
I'd prefer EPYC boxes over Ryzen due to the reliability and expansion but I see that there's demand for the high clock speed of Ryzen boxes.
I was thinking of those configurations as our entry-level lineup
Metal Ryzen
- Ryzen 5700X/ 5800X (8 Cores / 16 Threads)
- 64GB DDR4 3200 ECC
- 2x 1TB NVMe
- 1 Gbit/s uplink with about 10TB traffic
59€ per month
Metal EPYC
- EPYC 7302P / 7282 (16 Cores / 32 Threads)
- 64GB DDR4 3200 ECC
- 2x 960GB Datacenter NVMe
- 1 Gbit/s uplink with about 10TB traffic
59€ per month
Location: Frankfurt am Main, Germany
All dedicated servers would include features like BGP, BYOIP for free.
VLANs between multiple boxes are no problem either.
Would those boxes be of interest to you?
Or do you have some other specific configurations in mind you'd like to see?
Looking forward to your feedback
Thanks!

I'd be interested in the Epyc, could honestly put me down for a preorder right now. Only issue is traffic, 10TB monthly traffic is far too low. I'd like to see 50 or 100tb at 10gbit.
Just opposite for me. 10TB is sufficient but I've got peaks so 1GBit/s is too slowly.
Are you finde with 64GB RAM or would you prefer more?

I'd honestly be fine with less, mostly interested in CPU and bandwidth.
