It appears like FastestVPN's mobile app (Android) has received an update, making it look more slick and elegant as compared to before imho :) So far no bugs either, aside from Ping not always showing in App. Now, if they only speeded up their process of adding Wireguard:D

In that case, don't buy it. I'm sure it is still useful to some people.

Bought it a long time ago :D
    Still waiting for Wireguard support.

Btw, VPNUnlimited is far better than Fastestvpn.

VPNUnlimited is my favourite VPN of all the VPNs I am using, too. Doesn't hurt to have some backup lifetime VPN's though. Given that Keepsolid counts devices and you can only remove 1 device per week, I often use FastestVPN as backup on my mobile/tablet,Virtualbox streaming VMs etc.
    FastestVPN is actually quite decent.

It seems like they also added Double-VPN connections:

Could you please explain about this feature

Tbh, I think it's mostly marketing, but providers like NordVPN have introduced double-vpn connections as "more secure" VPN connections, because your traffic is encrypted and routed first to one VPN server and then the same request is encrypted and routed from the first server to another server, the idea being that e.g. the website you visit only sees the IP from the second vpn server your traffic passes through and even if somehow the second server leaks the "real" ip, it would only leak the IP of the first vpn server your traffic passes through since it has no knowledge of the original (your actual) IP address.

    Taken from Nordvpn:

Double VPN is an advanced VPN security feature that routes your traffic through two VPN servers instead of one, encrypting your data twice.

Now with Double VPN, your online activity hides behind two servers instead of one, which is known as VPN server chaining. The working principle is rather simple:

Your traffic is first encrypted on your device and redirected to a remote VPN server.

It reaches the server and gets re-encrypted.

The encrypted traffic then passes through a second VPN server, where it gets decrypted.

You reach your internet destination securely and privately.

  • marketing gimmick :D

Why do you prefer Wireguard over other protocol?
Is it the fastest or giving better privacy?

You are using the VPN only for browsing, not for a networking stuff right.

    Yeah, it's a nice addition :)
Well, the chain is endless. VPN on router level + double vpn on main system + potentially vpn on virtualbox container yada yada + browser extension proxy..

Since it's, theoretically, twice the encryption, I'd assume it would.

Since this is a very "budget" VPN, you can only buy it iirc
If you need a free VPN, check out Windscribe free tier, or similar.

It's not a "very" budget VPN as I checked.

20$ for lifetime is budget imgo https://fastestvpn.com/lifetime. On Stacksocial you often even get it for 13-18$ish

It looks like SPECIAL 2020 to get it down to $16.60 for 15 connections still works..? At least I can access the page and apply the code, I'm not going through checkout. (The VIP40 on Stacksocial have properly expired, however.)

Yeah, many coupons still work. 15 connections is more than enough, too. Just take that one :)
