Seems they still accept orders. Payment in the checkout process is limited to direct debit, but in the customer area everything seems still available. Didn't really pay of course, so not 100% sure.

Curve replied today "as a gesture of goodwill".
As far as I know its possible to pull back any CC transactions within 6 weeks without any problems, so I do not get where the issue was.
They where just slow and likely exceeded that time window but that is not a reason to come up like that.
Still, was a good reason to ditch them, the support is terrible and slow.

Oh well. I doubt he has done anything at all. But, he should stop taking new orders and accepting payments, direct debit seems to work still as another user reported.
Shouldn't he just open insolvency? He is doing it wrong.
I just got a message from PayPal that my payment to HostDoc will be reimbursed proportionally. Bit faster than expected and it's already refunded to my creditcard as well.
There are a ton of reliable hosts out here that have been performing as expected (e.g. BuyVM/Ramnode), but I haven't touched other hosts in years. It's a risk for bottom-of-the-barrel pricing for 'companies' (barely registered) are run by just barely competent pirates.
