He's one guy running a service for several years that most folks just don't care about. My guess is that he did it as a passion project and isn't going to take on the expense of doing it out of pocket.

    Sad

  • More likely sadder that the people using it most likely never donated a penny.

Definitely and so often the case with these donation type products and services. I don’t think buying someone a cup of coffee each year as thank you is much to ask.

  • The era of people actually appreciating free stuff is long gone.

    Thus, the end is nigh.

I think Tom Scott put it best (paraphrasing).

"For the original Web, it was amazing. We were learning how to do stuff and share information, and it was great. Web 2.0 brought us a half dozen different things a day, each capable of interoperating. For free. Now, we just sell more crap atop of the web 2.0 foundation that isn't free."

Aha -- did you try it by chance? It seems pretty interesting, they allow you to set the location of your Logs as well (US/EU/CH) which is pretty cool.

But the same people using it would happily sign up for scams such as from the gutter & others

    Recommend: MyRoot.PW|BuyVM|Inception Hosting|Prometeus

  • Yeah 1.1.1.1 does the job though
