Alibaba Cloud
Has anyone played with this?
Pricing seems to be quite competitive for a major cloud.
3.75 USD / 1vcpu / 1gig / 25gig / 2 TB
...and as best as I can see no CPU fair use / bursting type logic

I've been using their services for a few months. Good thing is you get premium CN2 GIA peering with such a low price. The downside is also obvious, you get free daily backups sent to CN governments.

That's OK. Or well...acceptable. Planning to use it for webfacing stuff anyway so they can park their backdoor and use a browser instead.
Do you guys reckon this could work as a proxy for other cloud stuff (if I use a US datacenter)?
i.e.
Internet-------Alibaba VPS w/ traefik -------CloudRun/CloudFunctions/Whatever
maximum speed of these packages 30 Mbps. I use couple of that to monitoring our server from different location

For starter package it's only 30Mbps, and there is CPU burst limit, or at least based on my experience. I once compiled something for about more than an hour, and after that my CPU crippled

Alibaba and the 40...
The price is hot.
But I really don't trust them because they are really close to the CN government.
Or am I wrong?

Jikes. Between that and the 30mbps this no longer sounds as awesome as I thought
I usually just do a fresh installation using dd to get rid of those backdoors. But yes, don't put serious personal info with them.

They don't enforece it. You can change them whatever way you like. I usually just dd an official ubuntu iso in order to get rid of those backdoors.

Yes, very affordable CN2 in Singapore, and recurring so far (but word is that they will be increasing the price). The catch is the obvious government backdoor.
