This is really getting worse for low-end hosts.

In my eyes, there were only subtle reactions to CPanel's initial price increase few years ago.
So, they are probably thinking 'why not more?'.

.20 from what I could gather.
So just a 50% increase, not a 200% one.
Dug out my old article for the last price hike, and compared the old and new figures:

Time to milk the business

The price increase was expected though since CPanel was sold in 2019?
The new owners obviously wanted a faster return on their investment.

They are not going long with these price hikes...some time until many better alternatives pop in, we already have DA, also ApisCP seems an option.

Never underestimate those who cannot take changes.
Doesn't matter it's young or old. There are a fairly large portion of people who simply cannot adapt to changes. For most of them, it's CPanel or none.
But the price increase doesn't seem too bad to me, if your profft margin is healthy enough.

A gamble that users will accept the new price is unacceptable for the cPanel company but the capital can take the risk.
I guess they want more cash back to buy more companies rather than make it long term. oakley capital is professional, they must have did the audit. Obviously taking money out can create more wealth for them.
Action and Reaction in history
I think we can all agree that the end is nigh, one way or another.

What are everyones plans, push the increased pricing to users and resellers? or kill off cPanel and move to another panel ? DA/Plesk
cPanel are killing off the low-end market
Plesk? Plesk is increasing its price as well. About 20%.

You guys should check out my previous posts under this & previous account. I have predicted this numerous times that it will repeatedly happen to all their brands. WHMCS is next

I logged back when I saw this in idle mode just to pass on a huge sigh.
If anyone picks DA as their alternative and needs help I'm available (after I catch up with my tickets). Email on my profile.

Yup and Some providers do a good job of offering both when signing up. Although after using DA I realize your not missing anything so whatever
I believe Oakleys wanted to exit quite some time ago. I think growth is stagnating, so now, they triple per-account prices to show revenue growth so their pitch deck and cap tables looks better...
From what I could gather, it's 0.3 from 0.2 - a 50% increase.
And 0.175 from 0.1 for "partners" - that's 75% more.
But neither seems close to triple. Am I missing something?

They stepped back on the 0.20 after the outrage last year, they only ended up charging 0.10
I guess they are now tripling that to 0.30 next year to make up for what they lost when they back-peddled

I would simply say "Change is coming" in this particular case.
