The French government seems to sponsor a startup incubator for intrapreneurs!

What's an intrapreneur? Somebody who is an entrepreneur inside (intra) some bigger organization.

I visited dev.to to see what was new there. I found a post in French about OpenStack sur LXD avec Juju et k3sup dans phoenixNAP.

The author of the post is this crazy fun guy named Karim a/k/a deep75 who has a long list of additional posts on dev.to and on Medium. Karim's posts are about installing various combinations of everything that's complicated just about everywhere. :)

"Who is this Karim guy?" I wondered. I looked at his Github.

Je peux lire un peu de français (I can read a bit of French), so I ended up tripping through the below sequence of urls (only one of which is in English -- it says "en" in the url). These pages seem to show that the French government runs an official startup incubator to help government agencies create digital solutions to "pain points" in relationships between citizens and their government.

I wonder whether other governments have an official incubator for digital startups within the panopoly of government agencies. Sounds like it might be a good idea!

  • Not quite sure where this is crazy fun, as I think most (western) European countries have this. Even a few eastern. Can't speak for other parts of the world though.

I edited the title to remove the words "Crazy fun:" from the beginning. I meant to associate "crazy fun" especially with Karim's posts about installing all kinds of stuff in all kinds of places. If you take a look at the list of Karim's posts I think you will see what I mean.

I'm from the USA ??? :) I'm unaware of a US government sponsored intrapreneur incubator. Don't know about any others in other countries, either. So, links might be nice if anybody knows of any.

Has anybody else blogged about installing more stuff in more places and in more ways than Karim? Or does Karim hold the world record for this kind of crazy fun blogging? :)

Je ne parle pas français, but based on what I can read from the beta.gouv.fr site, I believe 18F and USDS are quite similar :)
