[KTS24.com] Free storage VPS for at least 3 month!
Hi guys,
currently we are testing our new ceph based storage vps series, but until know there are only a hand full active customers, I have therefore decided to give you the opportunity to test the service free of charge for at least 3 months.
If there are good reasons to extend the test period, we will adjust the duration of all allocated servers accordingly.
What can you get?
An unmanaged VPS with the following resources:
1 vCore
2 GB memory
1000 GB storage
10 GBit/s shared connection
2 TB traffic per month (Whether there will be a traffic limit after the tests is not yet known)
The price after the 3 months is 8,99 € / month. It is considerably cheaper per TB for 8TB and more (currently not yet released).
How can I get such a server?
Create an account at https://panel.haendler.it and contact [email protected] from the email address registered with us.
To make it easier for our support, please use the following title: "I wanna help to test your ceph storage" and tell us your LowEndSpirit username.
As this is a free offer we will not waste time with warnings or discussions. If a service get banned, it will remain banned.

Why?
So far, I have answered every email in less than 10 minutes and that was already more requests than I had awakened Thanks a lot for the great support.
I currently have a hand full servers prepared that I would like to assign to a user. All other requests will only be processed in the coming days so that not a hundred servers are created at the same time and start YABS, which would logically lead to crappy performance.
Currently, about 50 VMs are running on the new Ceph storage, but the hope is of course to be able to run hundreds to thousands on the same storage cluster.
What will the price be for larger servers such as 8TB? Also, what is the server location? Thanks.
Would love to help test, email sent. Thanks
Email sent. Thanks.
Are we required to renew the servers after the test period ends? I would like to help test, but don't have a need to keep the VPS after the test period ends; I already have a lot of other storage VPSes that are working well for me right now.
Cheap dedis are my drug, and I'm too far gone to turn back.
Yeah I'm in @CamoYoshi's situation, I didn't want to accept the test offer unless I felt at lease some likelihood of wanting to renew, which is why I asked about the pricing of larger plans. It would be for cold backups so I'm basically looking for cheap bulk storage without much cpu or anything.
Hello, the email has been sent, please check it.
Email sent. Thanks.
1T storage is great

After release, you can order our 8 TB HDD starting at €39.99. Included: 2 vCores, 8 GB RAM
After the trial period ends, the servers will automatically expire if you do not wish to extend it.

Thanks for the greate support!
I created a few new storage vps, but as the system now says there is no capacity available on the nodes and we do not prioritise the commissioning of new systems here, it may take some time before more servers are delivered. At the moment, however, I assume that we will still deliver about 20 - 50 of these VMs free of charge.
Happy to help with testing! After receiving the machine, I installed the Debian system. Unfortunately, the machine of my account was interrupted during the installation of the system. After restarting, the hard disk could not be connected. I requested to reset my machine. Thank you very much!
You can mount the iso, perform the reset on your own.
I tried what you said, but it didn't work, the boot still couldn't find the hard drive. I installed it directly through the network before, and the mounting installation of the ISO without the panel may be the cause of the problem.

Looking forward to your gift
Windows?
You need virtio drivers. There should be a FAQ articel about that.
He mentioned Debian above.
We still have a lot of unprocessed requests, so mails sent from now on will have to be ignored.
Thank you again for the great participation. As soon as the tests are completed, we will post a LES exclusive storage offer here
I have responded to ticket again and waiting for their response.
You can start testing directly at any time.
I will not use the service until then.
Thanks again for your help.
You can now start the installation.
