Has anyone been experiencing random connectivity issues to Proxmox VE 6 node on OVH/SYS (or, anywhere for that matter)?
I have one server on SoYouStart with Proxmox 6 and it happens rather randomly that I cannot ssh to the machine or open its GUI (no server response). At the same time I can access all the VM's on it without any issue.
Also, if I had an ssh session active with the node at the moment of issue happening, the session will keep working as nothing has happened, but if I disconnect, I cannot ssh back.
I don't have a firewall active on the node. All the services keep working normally all the time, logs are not showing any issue (during the issue no connection attempt is being logged anywhere). SSH and 8006 (for the GUI) ports are open and listening all the time.

I have no clue where and what to look for.

Any idea appreciated.

The Proxmox itself is installed with the SYS provided image and is an as standard install as possible: no zfs, no ceph, no cluster. I have 4 HDD-s in a raid 10 configuration (software raid, option selected during the Proxmox installation). The first thing I did after installation was to register an ACME account and obtain a Let's Encrypt certificate for the domain where the node is. No LXC containers, just KVM. Cannot remember now if the issue started happening before creating the very first VM.

Please move to Technical, missed the right forum
Hi folks, how are you?
First, let me say, great site, and great guides. I know there is a dummy proxmox setup guide, but, since im truly new (first time I bought and use Linux), its kinda hard getting all to work ok, but, im getting used to.
Im following this guide: https://lowendspirit.com/postinstall-configuration-of-proxmox-ve-6-2 god bless not_oles ^^

Problems I currently have:
Cant link a domain to my server. I use a freenom domain, already pointed domain to server, but, don't know in wich part of the server sould I asign the domain.
I have it assign in "Host", don't know if its right or not, but when I try to enter, I get empty response on port 8006.

On both domains its the same.

Thx for the help, and sorry for the n00b question.

Free Soyoustart dedicated bare metal server share with other LES folks?

Features of a full user level shell account on a dedicated bare metal shared server include:

-- every user typically can see the processor load averages,

-- find out how many other user accounts there are all together,

-- find out how many other users are logged in, and

-- even see some of commands that other users are running. For example, as many of you know, a quick overview may be obtained with the w(1) command.

-- When problems occur on bare metal, it can be helpful instantly to eliminate the virtualization layer as a possible trouble spot simply because, on dedicated bare metal, there is no virtualization layer (unless the user is running LXD, qemu or similar at the user level).

Hopefully, not everybody is trying to run heavy load, long run time programs simultaneously. Getting along can take a bit of inter-user co-ordination, and there's always the nice(1) command.

Recently, from an offer on LET, I snagged two Soyoustart servers: SYS-LE-1 - Intel Xeon D-1521 - 32GB DDR4 ECC 2133MHz - 2x 2To HDD SATA Soft RAID - symmetrical 250 Mbps. Multiple IPv4 addresses are available. The servers are in Canada at OVH's BHS datacenter.

Since the Spirit of the LET community has moved here to LES, I thought I might express my gratitude to LET here at LES. Would anyone like a free user account? Would anyone volunteer to help administer? Maybe Ubuntu 18.04 server plus LXD? For now, I'm just asking questions--no promises yet about who might be accepted, exactly when this might start, or how long this might last.

I hope to learn a lot. I hope to get to know some of you. And we'll have fun!

Thanks LES!
