(Quote) Both, really.

Well, I'm rock-hard.

I work at a very big company. Like all big companies, price is important, but only insofar as we aren't pissing money up the wall. We use all the major technology brands to some degree, because they're the only vendors big enough and be able to work…

@cociu because I want to see what a forum run by him looks like, because he has quality bants.

(Quote) Cheers, I’ll go through the rest of the options and get back to you.

A couple of chilled mods to help take the load off and it’s all good in the hood. Moderators do it for the love of the community and as long as you aren’t asking for more hours than they’re comfortable doing then I don’t think anyone expects to be p…

Kind of tempted because Lux is never in stock when I check, but I've no idea what I'd use it for.

(Quote) Given the responses in this thread, I don’t think anyone cares mate.

(Quote) I've no issue with that doing that myself, if the free tier is fully-featured enough to properly trial a service, but limited enough to make sure folks can't sit on the free tier forever - ClouDNS being a good example, Cloudflare being an ex…

Occasionally, maybe every other week? I rarely log in anymore.

(Quote) Right, so it's not a problem with ClouDNS as such, you just don't want to be tied to a provider - fair enough. As a relatively new customer I thought you might have had some kind of issue it'd be worth knowing about. (Quote) I avoid free se…

The 4k stick for a tenner is an absolute steal. I prefer Roku devices for the user friendliness, but if you want a really wide range of apps (particularly if you do the IPTV thing), the Fire Stick is great.

(Quote) I too would be interested to know why - I signed up with them about 5 months ago after trialling the free plan and it seems like a decent service so far.

(Quote) Yes, but I prefer diversity within my stable. I also have a chronic aversion to setup fees.

A sub-$20 dedicated server with something like a 2k+ passmark with 500GB+ of storage.
-
I remember Iniz when Patrick started it up way back when. Anyone know who he sold the business to?
-
Do you have any dedicated server deals planned, either for the near future or Black Friday?
-
(Quote) Cheaper than I'd expected to be fair.

(Quote) I wanted to know what a PC like that costs, it was too expensive for me back in the day. But to answer your question, I guess I could probably buy a reasonable laptop for productivity and a PS4 for gaming and media for £650-£750.

Eventually being the key word. PC doesn't even have all of the Yakuza games yet. That alone directs me to a console every time.
-
How much does a PC that can run all of those games at a similar visual standard to consoles cost?

(Quote) It's for monitoring availability in that country specifically. The websites are on occasion blocked by the GFW so we need to know if/when that happens, but for certain sites there are special measures applied to ensure they are always (99.9%…

(Quote) I've just signed up for a trial, but I can't see how to select monitoring locations, or even which locations the monitors are in - is that a feature you've seen?
-
(Quote) HK doesn't (yet) - I need to know how performance looks from within the GFW. Is China on your roadmap? EDIT: Are the SMS notifications genuinely unlimited?
-
Thanks for the suggestions; I've got a Hetrix Tools account for personal use and it's fine, they just don't have a lot of monitoring locations (I'm looking to monitor around 60 regional websites, and I'd like to get pretty close to each, not just on…

(Quote) What about the disks.....

@Clouvider Any hints on what the LES mystery server might be? £60 is a lot of money to risk on potential disappointment.
-
I'd buy it. More disk space with less RAM/CPU works for me personally.
