(Quote) Indeed there is.

I knew I was going to hurt some feelings.

(Quote) lsb_release isn't available everywhere, while /etc/*-release are.

I took a quick look, it looks good for someone who is learning Bash. Some observations: * If you install ca-certificates, don't use --no-check-certificate * Old init systems are irrelevant nowadays so I'd remove references to them and replace with…

OpenVZ support is here! FAQ: Does it work with other container technologies? Very likely, as long as they have full iptables/nftables support. Does it work with just 128 MB of RAM? Yes but avoid CentOS if you don't have SWAP, because yum/dnf a…

(Quote) Yes. It would be useful to also enable unattended-upgrades in the templates.
-
(Quote) Because if someone is unwilling to learn how to set up a simple daemon like TeamSpeak or Shadowsocks, that user is not going to keep the server secure/updated. And in many cases the template will be outdated to start with. TeamSpeak is a spe…

(Quote) Already mentioned in the first post, OpenVZ support is coming very soon.

(Quote) complexorganizations copied small parts from angristan/openvpn-install (not only angristan/wireguard-install) and bigger parts from the l-n-s/wireguard-install project, both of which are based on my work. No one claimed that your wireguard-i…

(Quote) My mistake, you're right about that one. (Quote) You are using their datacenter, their network and your IP space is even announced by their AS, so you are certainly associated with them even if you go trough a middleman like it is the case.…

(Quote) Notorious cybercrime hoster, plenty of information in the internet about them. https://www.google.com/search?q=ecatel+quasi+networks

(Quote) Yes you are. Your test IP is announced by AS56611. REBA Communications is one of Ecatel's shell companies. Your IP space is owned by Ecatel and not you. Ecatel uses different legal structures in different countries to operate. Other of thei…

If anyone like me was wondering how could this provider could offer such cheap IP addresses in Europe: They are hosted at Ecatel.

(Quote) Download/streaming is of course not a problem, other than the fact that many of the major sites are blocked. Torrents were absolutely fine until last year when this troll started operating here. Spain has a big P2P culture and while nowaday…

It is very unlikely that they respond like that, probably only marketing speak for their customers. In the real world, they probably don't respond to DMCA notices, they have no need to and replying with that bullshit would create some liabilities. …

My OpenVPN installer will work on Debian 9, not a problem at all. But it will refuse to work on testing distributions like Debian 11. You shouldn't be upgrading your OVZ template like that anyway. With that said, your kernel is very old, has reache…

(Quote) I see, I mixed things up with you talking about the issues in previous kernels. It's an important distinction as this means that it's possible that I'll need to keep addressing this with new distributions if they use iptables-nft by default.
-
Thanks for the detailed information, this has been addressed in the script.
-
(Quote) great, will look into this Exactly as @Harambe said. You just need to alter the AllowedIPs directive in the client configuration to whatever you want. (Quote) I'll probably include that option in the near future but again, you can just rep…

(Quote) I see, will commit it tomorrow. I'm surprised that this issue has persisted for so long without a report reaching me.
-
Thanks everyone for the information, I had no idea of the existence of this issue with OpenVZ. I'm going to order an OVZ from @mikho to see exactly what distros and configurations are having this issue and add a check in the script to address it.
-
(Quote) As long as you have the iptables-nft compatibility layer (which is there by default) you're good to go.

(Quote) I didn't intend to send that half-prase lol, it sounds so edgy. I'm fine, not sad! (Quote) https://github.com/corrad1nho/qomui I have no idea about how good it is, I don't use Linux on the desktop.

What a sad situation that I had been so busy with work (Quote) To be honest no idea, I am so overworked lately that haven't used a WireGuard client yet in my personal devices. Others report better speeds than OpenVPN and the protocol is certainly …

(Quote) Try my installer, preferably in a clean server. It does both IP detection and the NAT in a better way, so that could be enough. It 100% works in LES. It you are still having issues, we can troubleshoot from there, but the installer works on…

(Quote) Of course!

(Quote) You'd need to be running a DNS server for that.

(Quote) The installer includes an AdGuard option, not the same as Pi-hole but similar results.

(Quote) Yeah, like Google more than a decade ago. Cloudflare free offer is better than some paid CDNs and impossible to beat. If one needs (do you really need it?) or wants a CDN or DDoS protection, they are of course a good option and they are pre…

(Quote) The "current system resolvers" option means exactly that: the resolvers currently used by the system, whatever it is in resolv.conf. So that's not necessarily 127.0.0.1, and even if it is, 127.0.0.1 would of course not be valid for…

(Quote) You already know more than me! I'm new to the whole WireGuard scene and not familiar with third party projects (yet).

(Quote) Only UDP is required, you can remove the TCP port :)

(Quote) That repository is based on Angristan+l-n-s, both of them are forks of my original work and the author is either unaware or trying to hide that fact. But whatever it is, my original copyright is not being respected. I will not go into the te…

(Quote) IPv6 is natively supported, same as openvpn-install. (Quote) None of my work has anything to do with him, he just created a dubious quality fork of my OpenVPN installer and last I checked, he was getting funded on Patreon for it. Attention …
