(Quote) Glad you figured it out. Be sure to report the bug ;)

(Quote) You don't need Proxmox VE. When you install the proxmox-backup-server package, it will automatically install the Proxmox BS GUI which you can access on port 8007.

(Quote) Worked perfectly for me - I just went to Disks > Directory > Create and chose my second (large) partition. Keep "Create Datastore" checked. The datastore shows up in the Datastores view correctly: (Image) Your problem migh…

(Quote) Yeah, separate partitions seems to work alright for me. Not sure about LVM.

(Quote) Does anyone happen to know? Probably will run fine on any small VPS, even 256MB/512MB. I have a test instance on AWS lightsail 1GB instance right now and only around 80MB RAM usage. Edit: Also note that you WILL need multiple disks in the …

Lately I've been shopping for backup software and wasn't able to find what I was looking for, but this looks like it could be it. Now I just need to find a server to run it...

(Quote) Even if he did sell the entire server with 8GB @ $6.53 plans, his margins would still be around 50%. And again, that's not counting any overselling - which is probably occurring.

(Quote) Hotlineservers mentioned in the promo thread that they are profitable at these prices. They said they are paying $150/month for a 256GB RAM server so they would only need to charge around $4.60/month for an 8GB plan to break-even, and that's…

Thanks to the generosity of @Ouji , I was able to perform a benchmark on the Miami location, with awesome Ryzen 3900X CPUs. The performance is fantastic (for the most part), take a look: https://blog.unixfy.net/hotlineservers-benchmark-8gb-ryzen-mia…

(Quote) It took me about 30 minutes - but I was doing it while a bit distracted. :) If you (or anyone else) is interested in loaning me a server for benchmarks, please add my public key (available here: https://unixfy.s3.amazonaws.com/pubkey.txt) a…

Happy independence day! I have posted my benchmark of Hotlineservers's Montreal location, which was kindly loaned to me by @Iroshan464 Check it out here: https://blog.unixfy.net/hotlineservers-benchmark-8gb-montreal/

(Quote) Good idea - I'll ask Hotlineservers :) (Quote) Sent you a PM. Thanks very much!

(Quote) Thank you very much! I have been speaking English for a long time (since I was quite young) so that's why :) (Quote) Unfortunately my Chinese is not good, I can't read or write it (apart from basics like 1-10). :( Thank you for your commen…

(Quote) Good catch. I've updated the post to reflect this. (Quote) I will consider doing this.. I thought about it earlier. Perhaps traceroutes to a set of specified locations - maybe 1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8, and my ASN or something. Would that be good? …

(Quote) Oh yeah, you are right. My bad. AMD needs to work on their numbering system.

(Quote) Definitely agree. I've been gaming on my $300 laptop (i5-5200U and Geforce 940M) from 5 years ago, works fine :joy:

You should consider the Zen 2 CPUs (i.e. Ryzen 3xxxXT and Ryzen 4xxx CPUs) - their performance per dollar is much higher than that of Intel's CPUs... For reference, I picked up a laptop with a Ryzen 4500U CPU for $600. The 4500U beats the i7-10750H…

I could help out with more enterprisey stuff like Atlassian's software, AWS, and self-hosted Active Directory. Though, I'm not sure how big the audience for that would be, especially at a low-end forum :joy:

(Quote) I have a lifetime plan with Ivacy. Not exactly great, speeds are average and the applications don't work 100% of the time. I gave my account to a friend anyways  Even at $2/month though, it would be cheaper to just get a VPS. Anthony…

I am paying for G Suite and Amazon WorkMail, works great. I used to use MS 365 but OneDrive/SharePoint pushed me away :P

(Quote) Self hosted OWA?
-
(Quote) Yes, it is. Just click the "Request IPv6" button in the panel.

Thanks for the mention :) I noticed the link for the review of Divi is not working. Other than that, great post!

My recommendation will always be Atlassian Confluence. I've tried all of the free solutions: WikiJS, Mediawiki, Dokuwiki, Bookstack.. but I am always going back to Confluence. The ecosystem, features and support are unmatched, in my opinion.

Is it possible to upgrade the 512M to 1G (and retain the promo price)?

All of my AWS boxes have a EBS Snapshot Lifecycle policy set up. WordPress sites are backed up with Updraftplus to S3, and some servers are also backed up to S3 / BunnyCDN. I've been looking into something like Veeam for a while to automate backups …

I have one in Chicago. Not sure of the transfer requirements at HH though.

(Quote) I think he meant to add colors for each column. I found it difficult to read as well

I used to use CircleCI (and later Amazon CodeBuild) to build and deploy my sites to Amazon S3 / AWS Amplify and purge CDN cache in the process. Now I'm using Netlify.

(Quote) Yeah, I'm getting this too...

* Smallweb. Cheap domains and fast support. * Avoro. Fixed Cyber Monday with one of the only actual good deals.

(Quote) After playing with Divi a LOT it's easy to recognize the typical run-of-the-mill Divi sites (the ones that don't change their font or anything) That being said, Divi is incredibly customizable, for example https://professionelle-webs…
