My only regret is missing JP ... I still don't have an VPS in Asia .

YAY!!! @Virmach gave me the 2.22 thing, and was more generous in memory !!! I don't even need to break out my ultra-low-memory debian image
-
2 cores, 222MB/ram , 22GB SSD, 2TB bw, 2.22 ? The 222MB would make the rest less useful ...

(Quote) Backblaze (Computer) would be economical if you run a Windows VM and use 'virtio-fs' to map the host drive into the VM - although the shipped hard drive recovery was at 8TB last I looked.

Has anyone noticed that the initial disks images for Virmach VM's contain a pre-existing image? * Select 'Install Later' when purchased * Boot into Rescue instead of installing an O/S * Examine /dev/vda and notice there's data: "Jun 9 01:08…

I'm curious ... How does one hit 20TB of transfer in a month without violating the other constraints on IOPS?
-
(Quote) Port 22 would be another great option too for extra charges! Pay extra to have bogus logins non-stop; or move your SSH port to something civilized ;)

(Quote) Is your compression that great? Or do you just not have the Gigabytes of pushups? Or that no one wants to see pushup 555 of 1000 when they can just see the first 2 on loop?
-
(Quote) Or, we can keep commenting, and delay provisioning for everyone else... That would give those of us who have been provisioned less CPU stealing, clear networks, and faster uncontended disk access. This comment is a 12 hour gift to myself ;)

(Quote) I suggest "countries of the world" .. Plenty to go before you run out, and if you do, you can always fund some revolution somewhere to make more! Besides, there's something compelling about nuking "belgium"

AssuredWasteful-VM This is the ABSOLUTE BEST VM Name I've gotten from VirMach, EVER

Is the Ryzen divided by 3 or 4 ? Eg, at what number of vcores can a single threaded process taking nearly 100% of the cpu sustained be considered acceptible in the AUP?

So, what was the actual URL (thanks @jab for the laugh, and even the version sans 'not' showed I wasn't creative enough. What sort of broken "deals" were missed?
-
From a cost-centric perspective, it really seems wasteful to be paying for the IPV4 Especially when all the IPV4 is good for is creating SSH spam in the logs.

(Quote) Are dot-wtf good for anything other than "Tasting"? Seems that it's $30 after the first year, if you were trying to build a brand/community

(Quote) I guess you recancelled the service before cancellation was broken?
-
@VirMach "Cancel With Transfer" is confusing. * The services do not show as cancelled in the panel, and they show a pending invoice * Will the pending invoice be automatically paid (!?!) on the due date ? * Cancel with Transfer tickets fo…

I feel like I've done my part to increase @VirMach 's ticket burden. Just FYI, the transfer ticket email * Does not list the fee for transfer request * Links to a defunct Fee Schedule page: https://virmach.com/terms-conditions/#tab2

The only thing that's tough with the AMS test VM is that either my high activity workload wasn't as bad as I thought, or it's not actually suspending/warning for overuse..

Are previous year's BF eligible or recommended to transfer ? I have a BF-SPECIAL-2020 ($8y) and PRO+ Lite-2017 ($14/y) both in Frankfurt Given the drama with FF, these may be better returned to the bits from which they came...

it's free! Thank you! Trying out some disk/cpu actiivty should be fun! However, and not to be greedy, but would you consider making the limit 100GB, or maybe exclude in-network traffic ?

(Quote) Is high CPU usage for SATA I/O usual for that particular RAID card? Shouldn't scattered small reads just stall the requesting VM's virtio thread, as it waits in the controller's io-queue?

At this point, most of the tickets probably require some investigation, and with more coming in 1100

(Quote) It's not much of a hassle at all until the key goes the way of all hardware. Then you need the backup key (which Yubi does tell you to buy, so they get twice the sell) - good luck finding that. And hopefully all the sites are properly regi…
