(Quote) One of the reasons I'd much rather prefer torrent tech for this stuff. Inherently more resilient & a million flaky mirrors will get you some serious speeds...

When I was hosting FOSS torrents the Raspbian stuff always got the most traffic so would probably start with those. More Arch would also be good too...some of the servers out there are flaky AF

(Quote) I personally thought the latest ubuntu desktop is sexy AF

(Quote) There was a ton of drama about their stuff basically copying a FOSS implementation. (And unfortunately they could - license used was permissive)

Maybe reduce the sticky count a bit? Takes up most of the "above-the-fold" screenspace on new discussion page

(Quote) That's not quite true. The clouds do offer dedis. The free credits should get you about 100 hours a dedi time on GCP according to my napkin math. Their non-dedi vCPUs are also pinned to HT threads so not as susceptible to noisy neighour synd…

Awesome. Got one that I really like. Thanks boss Only works for 1 domain in cart and doesn't work for premiums. So if the domain isn't ~6 USD precoupon don't bother The 30 USD renewal is quite spicy tho

(Quote) Don't think there is anything "meant for home use" as such. @seanho point re reddit sub /r/homelab is good though - those guys know everything there is to know about this I wouldn't even consider any of this unless in a location w…

Fitting thread. Will need a bunch of servers shortly too if a project works out. @ OP - what kind of tech stack? My preferred version all run >256mb

Interested too. I've been toying with markdown + git via iOS app Working Copy, but it's not perfect

(Quote) Datadog and elastic something. Plus another dozen I forgot

RIght tested it a bit & quite easy to get basic VPS metrics linked. Same with feeding logs into it
