@calin I have not received any email about hdd -> ssd migration. Is it completed for all the vms?

Their wireguard is real problem. They automatically revoke keys every couple of days so configuration has to be continually updated on all the devices. Other protocols work fine though.

Kind of opposite of what you ask but useful anyway. Graphical remote browser in terminal. Even youtube works in terminal. Must try at least for its novelty. https://github.com/fathyb/carbonyl

(Quote) Yep, docker works fine on zap hosting Lxc vps. Just tested today.

In general under any law a contract or tos is not automatically valid even if agreed and signed. Think of this - a thief robs and makes you sign contract that you will not make a police complaint. Such contract is invalid. This is an extreme example…

Thanks for this thread @Ympker I have registered for lxc server. The price is very competitive even for 1year. So anything beyond 1year is bonus. Lifetime deals are like investing in startups. Lots of hit and miss. So far my experience has been goo…

@Calin what happens to the existing hdd plans? Will they be migrated to ssd?

Juice ssh pro, works very well, it has additional on screen keys for tab, dot etc. which are useful on terminal. Termux + openssh is a very good alternative too. As it is the closeset to a proper laptop/desktop in terms of setting up ssh connection.…

Welcome to LES @dejan. I have been reading about gmailify, it looks like a very good concept. FAQ mentions that no hacks or trickery is involved. I am interested in knowing how it works, if you don't mind. The service appears to use POP3 on gmail, …

I have been using these domains for many years. Very good for personal self hosted applications. Search engines dont like to lisr them so no use hosting a public site. But that also means self hosted project doesn't accidentally appear on search :)

(Quote) Not tried Seafile but looks like I need to give it a try. Nextcloud is just too heavy to be used as "cloud drive". Filestash is another one that I have tried but don't host it.

I can't download the conf file. Nothing happens on clicking the download link. On ff on android. Tunnel connects though by copying the config.

(Quote) All the pi have been out of stock all over the world I heard and was the case when I checked few months back. So a pi in possession is a priced possession these days. They have been listed quite expensively on ebay. Time to make good use of …

Linux mint mate or mint xfce work pretty well on old hardware. Plus everything works just like that without much of fiddling.

Folks may not like it but one of the easiest merhod apart from softaculous is using snap package. It just works, politics aside.

This is often my starting point for exploration. https://github.com/awesome-selfhosted/awesome-selfhosted#wikis I have tried dokuwiki briefly and found it useful. Doesn't use databse and simple setup. Anything that can be quickly installed on (lifet…

(Quote) Makes sense for collision between centralised vs decentralised but how about collision between two decentralised providers? There will be a winner over time who will control it I guess.

(Quote) No worries, I am curious about this. If we have two ( known to me so far ) providers then there will be collision of domains. Eg. If I register same domain as you on handshake I will be able to create my own completely difderent website. Dec…

I am trying out access to your website @Ympker. Meanwhile how does it UD compare with handshake? https://www.namecheap.com/domains/handshake-domains/ Are these mutually exclusive? Any idea?
