So, the best time to refer a new friend is the 1st of the month?

(Quote) Yikes. I haven't used WordPress personally in a decade. I didn't even know they bolted on a search engine.

It looks quite likely I will be deep diving into wordpress performance optimization this week. Any free load-testing services still? (multi location simulator, different latency clients) Loadimpact seems to require signup now. I guess I don't mind…

'Transfer allowance' makes us feel like a 10yo instead of the Uber l337 Hackermans our grandmas think we are.

(Quote) Here we go, for the curious. Looks like everything is travelling the full ZFS access path/stack. 1 x Full Random read test with 128k blocksize : ./fio --randrepeat=1 --ioengine=libaio --direct=1 --gtod_reduce=1 --name=test --filename=test -…

Bobs get lonely. (and unstable) Is there a 1 backup Bob free with every Bob ?

That reminds me. I need to go check up on my ultravps instance. I'm curious to see how much of that 2 week old 4GB test file I created, is still present in the Host Node's ZFS ARC(ram). 5GB/s reads are a dead giveaway(even on nvme storage.)

At first, I thought the pricing was a little too 'dear' for AMS. But debaser's comment reminded me it's 10G goodies. Generous 2TB on the entry plan too

I got a Credit Card and linked my Paypal to it, just to have the $15/yr ovz-128 legally in my name. Congratulations on the decade Fran.

The Server.it benchmark was useful to me. I was quite curious about it personally. A nice little 'selfhosted' hobby box for a small number of logged-in users.

And if you are using Proxmox pve-zsync for schedled/adhoc ZFS backups, it has the " --limit VALUE " option. https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/PVE-zsync

Another weak analogy : you know that sound your flat key makes, as it scrapes across all your door surfaces as you stumble around in the dark hallway, trying to find the keyhole. Imagine doing it without the audio feedback : Packet DROP in a nutshe…

Transfer limits are fine. Having 200mbit available at 8pm is my primary concern, during Covid. Dammit PUBG and instagram. Edit: not a customer yet. Close.

They're just being kind to their routers while striking a balance between 99.9% user requirements and satisfying RFC ?

Zilore : It's FREE. and now my primary external monitoring. Pro: Zero false positives. Reliable Cons: slow javascript heavy UI and graphs. (for once a year when I scan through) EDIT: Apparently I've been on FREE beta for nearly 2yrs. haha. Found o…

(Quote) I suppose I could try this out on my wishosting CA storage kvm tomo . It's currently pending a full re-install. (Wishosting clients can create several virtual disks as there is quota in Open Nebula panel.) Not sure if the transfer speeds f…
