(Quote) Update : went even further and tried 4k-png colorspace for a week. I can't tell the difference with the default Darcula theme. Quite 4G data friendly in a pinch.

The timestamp element contains the permalink, as two have pointed out. It took me a year+ to figure it out myself ?.

I guess you do need a retail license if you intend to run windows inside a GPU-virtualized Ryzen box like I plan to (when I can afford all the stupid expensive Nvidia gear) Is this an international license? Not too familar with their legalese.

Is 150GB and 1TB transfer enough? Maybe if it's private torrents only. Liteserver.nl has 500GB disk and 6TB transfer for 3.75 EUR /m (yearly cycles are extra 9% off iirc). Only private torrents though.

root@oracle-mumbai:~# uptime 13:13:53 up 239 days, 19:53, 7 users, load average: 0.08, 0.48, 0.34 Woops. I've been idling much longer than I thought. Do not be surprised to see 60-75 range Cpu-Steal% when running apt dist-upgrade. This is stric…

Does anyone have a test IP for their SGP. Pm is fine.

(Quote) I had to check my wallet on the new validity card. It's a Visa (Platinum : no idea what that signifies)

(Quote) Wasn't any. Card from #1 PSU. Rhymes with yesPeeEye Card

Worth mentioning for anyone else looking Liteserver.nl 's revamped storage lineup starts with 6TB premium gigabit transfer even on base plan. Additional 25% off with promo code SSDHDD25 (from their home page) https://clients.liteserver.nl/cart.php…

I signed into their panel after 4mos. The Mumbai instance I'd spun up in launch week is still up. Guess I need to investigate putting this to some dumb use.

Alibaba and the 40...

Solved this with Authy. Free turnkey solution. Authy's encrypted backup password stored in my regular store :keepassxc

I have it on good authority that if you ticket in you can get this for $70/yr (instead of $84/2 months free). Worth mentioning in all forum offer copy. correct me if I'm wrong.

Congratulations Dom on the rapid expansion. Can't wait to sample your Amsterdam or Frankfurt through one of your vps dedi customers.

PM me a test IP bruh. 2.79 Eur/m to arubacloud or nexusbytes... ? NB works out cheaper even. ? Edit: (Quote) Just saw that now.

Who is your current Dallas vendor? @radi (drserver) could perhaps make you a yearly deal if you PM. I don't think the E5 nodes are over 3.0Ghz though.

(Quote) Pro: With x2go, Auth and packet transport is handled over ssh. Simple, secure, well-understood. Cons: So you'd need to install x2goclient and carry around a separate passphrase-protected ssh private key. (that you can revoke if you suspect …

I went a different route. (past couple days) I had a somewhat idle 4GB KVM with 4x E5 cores in Leaseweb SGP. (from their legacy kvm lineup. Yay) I moved the https media it was serving to a storage VPS in EU. Decided to give x2go-server a go again…

Take out a couple of hours and create a nice .ssh/config file. I symlink mine out to my Seafile server's synced copy.

(Quote) I felt like taking a minute to chime in regarding ssh keypairs. Every 'host' should have its own separate private key generated on itself (or off-vps : if you do not trust the user-land ssh-keygen and dependency libs(say openvz from a sketc…

Bizarre ban indeed. I think I shall set up FF send for a 'just-in-case' fallback. I currently use a couple of seafile instances to let unregistered users upload to a password-protected dump 'folder'. The CE edition of Seafile can be squeezed onto a…

Tunsafe looks like the rabbithole I need to run down. Thanks Edit: Spoke too soon. It's a windows app. ??♂️ Edit2: ooh https://tunsafe.com/user-guide/linux

@AlexBarakov : any Arubacloud refugee wireguard special (yearly billed)? 500GB bw ought to do it. I checked yesterday and all your tempting BlackFriday KVMs are now marked OoS ? I'd rather buy from UK/NL/DE from a small list of trusted providers.

Killed off the 2 idlers. No remorse. This is the game. I'll kill off the final vpn bastion host once I've made sure I don't lock myself out of any service whitelists ( just a single IP configured).

What ssd sorcery is this? ?

I was just using it as a vpn+pihole(listening on port 53 only on tun0,wg0) . It used to present a very stable 150ms ping, but it has been stuck at 250ms (via SGP) routing for a few days. No idea if it's related. I've already switched over router t…

(Quote) This is addressed in codeservers's docs https://github.com/cdr/code-server/blob/master/doc/FAQ.md#differences-compared-to-vs-code

(Quote) What's the minimal RAM KVM spec for this? I've been meaning to look into this. Does it co-exist with nginx/other loadbalancer that's already on port 443?

(Quote) SafeHouseCloud. That's what it was. My info is probably floating around. who knows.. Edit: HostDoc was in June 2019. I waited until they completed a year in business. Oh well.

Very cheap vps. Signed up to get my cheap vps.

If I overpay for a year to cover costs of my cheap dedi + IPv4 (after a support discussion and custom invoice), can the 'credits' be used across ALL hetzner services (that I impulse buy) or just that server+IPs I budgeted for?
