(Quote) No, I think the OP was saying he had to use an he.net tunnel because he is on a coloncrossing VPS.

@Not_Oles well separate companies/legal entities due to different regional locations for tax, legal, accounting reasons is again another matter, that would be considered the same company. It seems to be the best way for this 'issue' to become a non…

Well, if I take the core elements of that. * If you register company’s under different people and addresses how could I tell anyway? * If you do it properly and legally and are willing to go through the registration and long term legal implications…

(Quote) As I said, I think If a legitimate separate company is registered, accounted for, then I see no issue with it, if you do it properly it is not a small task. It is not like the forum is overrun with offers, unlike JB I am not sponsoring crim…

(Quote) SYS and kimsufi are brand of a single entity not completely separate registered legal entities, if someone wants to go through all the trouble of registering another separate company then I personally don't see any issue with allowing separa…

(Quote) I don't add anything to the exclusive deals section, that is a hosts choice, additionally, it is not exclusive to here, it has been posted on 2 other sites. (it is an awsome deal though)

(Quote) Well that was your first mistake!

You simply will not find that. Get a dedicated server and manage that yourself, alternatively you could get a managed switch from i3d (they offer that) and a dedicated server to go with it. Depends if that "Nice to have" is worth paying …

Check to see if your IPv6 is actually an he.net tunnel, HE.net now block traffic to Cloudflare on their tunnels. Side note, I think between he.net and cogent it is some pact to impact ipv6 as much as possible.

(Quote) I am sorry, as the last comment on the page I missed it. much appreciated, I would like to wait a few days more to see if we can get any NVMe based servers though as those pcie 3/4 lanes make a huge difference.

(Quote) I have no issue with it in general but there is no doubt that the sold to spec server will perform better. The test is a perception test at its core. For example, we all know a v6 ford engine with a turbo is going to better than one withou…

(Quote) Not really as that is fully synthetic. The real point here is, can 250 experienced users coming to this without a destructive mindset: A ) Tell that they are on a node which is running compressed ram as swap and secondary swap on NVME. B )…

Yep, the thing is with an artificial load and no way to tell how it will be used in advance and people also knowing it is a test there is no way to get concrete results. It will however have a control group that will not know they are a control gro…

@comi I understand what you are saying, I am not trying to prove an ironclad point, this is a technical exercise with observers that shows the art of the possible and will perhaps surprise some people who believe that 10% over commit = turd service …

(Quote) Well that's an expensive experiment :) also if you just do a vanilla install and throw 256GB of VPS at a server with 64GB Ram.... you are going to have a bad day. If you tweak the bejesus out of it and manage the ram compression, swap, cre…
