Oh yeah, I remember Ben's video on his crappy VGA videocard. There was someone else who went to incredible lengths to build and rebuild things and outright designing others on a similar at-ttl-level for the heck of it, can't remember who now.

Try running strace. If you don't know what that is, you're going to need to do a little bit of research and provide further information. We don't know what it's crashing, but that will help you step through.
