No problem. I spoke with our billing department, we can do €255/month, €1000 buydown, and we’ll upgrade the bandwidth to 1.5Gbps

Well if I am willing to cover 75% of the initial cost of say an extra 128GB of DDR4 ECC Ram upfront then it gives providers confidence I want the server long term and reduces their risk and allows them to offer better prices.

So essentially it means I am buying a lower monthly cost. essentially a massive setup fee.
