I encountered a lady that was using Yahoo webmail to manage/use her GMail account ... She didn't like the google interface, she said ... Luckily I was not there to fix email issues, so I didn't have to touch it ...
I believe it's still somewhat popular outside of the states and europe. Although in this day in age it's kinda silly considering how many times they've been breached.
