In case anyone is using, having problems, and didn't get the notice:

We recently released version 5.11.1 of ACF and ACF PRO.

ACF 5.11 included an important security update related to retrieving values of ACF fields. This caused problems for developers registering fields in PHP and using functions like get_field or the_field to retrieve the field values before ACF has been initialized.

This update affected more people than we initially thought, and we didn’t communicate the impact of the change well enough. To help folks get ahead of problems on their sites, ACF 5.11.1 introduces a WordPress admin notice to warn you if it detects that these functions are being used on fields not correctly registered in PHP.
