y0 VirMach tell us more about this ticket please. I am very interested how the fuck you transfer service without data (!) to Yandex mailbox. What do you transfer, what the hell is this.

I'm doing a survey so I hope you will answer my questions candidly.
Since you joined LES three plus months ago the only comments you have made are in this thread. I am curious to know if talking to VirMach is your only purpose for being here, or are there other reasons that you come to LES ?
If so, what other aspects of the forum are of interest to you ?

I am sure it's an arbitrary number to pacify the customer that yes, he will be served duly in queue
[Emergency Maintenance] Your service in Phoenix (Tomorrow, December 17th)
Dear VirMach Customers,
We were very recently notified of an emergency maintenance window, which will impact your service: tomorrow, December 17th, 2022, between 9PM and 6AM US pacific time. We apologize for the extremely short notice, but we were notified of this maintenance today and are emailing you as quickly as possible (within a few hours of receiving the notice from our datacenter partner.)
The expected downtime will be between 1 and 5 hours.
The maintenance will not directly affect our servers (outside of them being powered down and then back on.) All server parts, data, and IP addresses will remain intact/the same.
-The VirMach Team
Is this the datacenter migration you mentioned weeks(months?) ago?
@Jab said: That was weeks ago and already happened
I thought it was delayed. Also from traceroute -A

I have to double check but it's the INAP datacenter that was shutting down, not their blend, which was already sold to Unitas Global. Aka, it should be the same blend.
Okay so I've reworked the upcoming Epyc special. These are close to what it will actually be posted as, unless you guys want to make any modifications (see my second post.)
*Quantity limit to half the total resource quantity of plans. I mean the whole offer will be limited though obviously.
@Flying_Chinaman and then to deliver you the bad news, Tokyo will cost a lot more than just a $10 setup fee extra, it scales higher for higher planes. So 32GB will cost 1.88x more in Tokyo, and lowest plan will be $19.25 per year or $28.88 per 2 years. Middle plan (8GB) will be $66 per year or $99 per 2 years.
NOT ACTUALLY REAL PLANS RIGHT NOW, CHECK ABOVE FOR REAL ONES.
There's still the option of doubling the disk numbers for an additional +$2/2YR (non-Tokyo) on the base plan (and $4, $8, etc, double for every plan thereafter) if you guys think everyone would want that for example. There's also the option of changing to an Epyc 7542 instead of 7452 (2.35GHz to 2.9GHz) for an additional +$2/2YR per core. Maybe we just build both and then decide which one to send to Tokyo and which one to send elsewhere. Basically ends up being +17% to +25% more. Worth it?
So just to kind of give you an idea for potential more disk and clockrate version:
Still feels bad, have thought this might be the end of mine.

Not great but bearable, as long as it is cheaper than GCV and you do promise to improve ticker ETA

Just send it to Tokyo. Higher prices will drive away shady users and you know it's still going to get sold even then.

I think most of Tokyo users will use their servers as jumpboxes like vpn/proxys so I would try to keep resources and basic price quite low for Tokyo nodes since there will be anyway those additional fees.
Personally I dont need so much diskspace and real plans are great but then again +$2/2YR for Epyc 7542 cores would be perfect. I would get them in US

Yeah, as long as my life stuck in the darn commie serfdom shithole, I need attachable additional IP & extra bandwidth rather than better hardware in Tokyo.
Setting up those at US west/east coast would stand up for the common good.

I think you should decide based on yours sale / margin profits - does a lot of smaller, cheaper services is better or more expensive bigger one? If you gonna ask here most people gonna tell you: cheaper, bigger, unlimited, 7$ per year, okey?

Ah, but do they speak rDNS?
It wisnae me! A big boy done it and ran away.
NVMe2G for life! until death (the end is nigh)
I did not check as I have no use for rDNS on those two VMs. They both have been assigned IPv6 though, and one of them is working already.
