Why is this a sad moment for @MichaelCee? I remember he does not own SmallWeb anymore.
That, very much is exactly what @MichaelCee is likely regretting. The fact that it was sold and left to sink in the depths of the ocean. Not that it's @MichaelCee fault. We all love him

@MichaelCee should not regret that. There is no way he could have known what will happen in future. Nobody knows the future. Most likely others would have done exactly the same in his place, concerning how many fans NexusBytes had (and still has). All an owner can do is either manage a business themselves or sell it to someone else hoping they might do better. Unfortunately things don't always turn out the way we want, like in this case where NexusBytes failed expectations.
Can anyone disclose what actually happened to Jay? I'm not asking for details, but is he ill, injured, out partying, got another job or just sick and tired of the hosting business, or did he just disappear and nobody knows where?
I mean, if he is ill or injured I wont hold it against him, but if he is just on vacation partying somewhere it's kind of a dick move.
I think someone in this thread mentioned that he still responds to facebook messages or something like that?

I hate (Yeah, right) to be a dick, but this is the circle of life within Low end world, ain't it?
I specifically avoid any hosts on LET and LES for this reason.
That's quite a good advice.
Anyone who advertizes here is a dude with a couple of dedicated machines.
Literally anything can happen.

Everything has dedicated machines behind it. It is why datacenters were created in the first place: to hold servers. Usually businesses deadpool not because of physics and mechanics related to dedicated servers, but because of bad decisions and greed (sometimes from owners, sometimes from datacenters, sometimes from politicians with their electricity prices).
Regarding the word "dude", did you just assume and generalise the gender of all owners which have business related to hosting? How dare you?!

I am sure this is a very sad moment for @MichaelCee . Watching the ship drown without being able to do much about it

@WSS
I don't chant that on living creatures. Such chants tend to have effects even if it should mean nothing.
