I want to install a virtual browser/desktop environment that is accessible in the browser / neko

Surprised https://www.xpra.org/ (HTML5 client feature) hasn't been mentioned yet, lightweight and probably packaged in your choice of distro already

I had done this and its pretty straight forward and working well.
