    In SG, 10 Gbps internet is S$99.90 per month.

    As for the hardware,
    2xE5-2690v4 -> S$ 105
    512GB DDR4 ECC RAM -> S$ 960
    2 x 3.8TB Enterprise SSD s-> S$ 572
    Motherboard + PSU + Case -> S$ 300

    So one time payment of 2,000 SGD and then 100 SGD per month?

    If charged monthly, arond 250 to 300 SGD per month?

    I think that is a fair calculation but it does not include
    Power costs
    Cooling
    Spare parts
    Charges for rack space etc
    as this is placed in a datacenter rack

    Also our profit margins. :)

    Hey, I'm just doing a VERY rough estimate here :lol:

    Not sure who needs 512 GB of DDR4 RAM, but I am not it! I mean I am only using 7 GB of my 64 GB VM node...

    A proper estimate can be given by those who are using server of similar specs. Ofcourse since it is in SG, they will need to add 20 to 50% on top of their estimate because of the Singapore Tax (not gst :p )

    yes I understand, I was just improvising the post to reflect actual costs.
    Thanks for the input on hardware costs =)

    Looking forward to see what people might actually be willing to pay for a server with these specs.

    I doubt that is for business/enterprise grade internet connection with SLA and multiple diverse paths.

    250-300 SGD is really low... My estimate is the price will be at least 400-450SGD/month... Though I do want to buy it with 250SGD/mo =)

    Ya, i forgot that you need to add 20 to 50% markup on any estimated price if you plan to sell it in Singapore...

    They do not have prices for business grade internet, so I'm quoting price from home/personal grade connection. In SG, SLA is enforced by government, so they are required to provide good internet with great peering even to home networks. Last time we had an outage due to a router failure or damaged cable, the company faced few hundred thousand dollar fine from government...
