Pre-Announcement NL will get upgraded and switched to a new machine. This includes new shiny more powerful CPU, more Storage and we likely can offer 2GB after the upgrade. I also gonna take the time, to simplify the network and testing Proxmox 7 w…

(Quote) Nearly zero, maybe 1-2 requests per week, abuse is usually 1 or 2 per year.

(Quote) LXD has a JSON API right, he in theory could build it.

If they would be bigger, more memory and disk, you could run your own microLXC and rent them for whatever.
-
(Quote) Its routed to your VM, plus the timeout takes a few seconds, which indicates your webserver is not replying to the request. Firewall? Keep in mind changes for HAProxy take up 1 hour.
-
Downside is, It won't work with Encrypted NSI with TLS 1.3, since HAProxy can't read anymore where to forward the encrypted packages.

(Quote) SNI, its like magic (Quote) Just setup a nginx and request a tls certificate from lets encrypt (Quote) Yes and 443, its NAT seriously?

Maintenance Announcement. I plan to update the LXC and LXD versions of all host systems on 4th of January starting from 22:00 CET. A reboot is necessary to make sure the patches apply without any issues, like the ones we had in the past. This will…

tcpdump and check from where. I had a VPS with 150GB Traffic and some idiot within the same subnet send me 10GB of DNS traffic per day, which resulted in suspension of the vps. kurwa Won't buy anything below 500GB anymore, pain in the arse.

Regarding the issue that has been Reported that VM's wont start. This is related to an ISO cleanup, when you still have an old iso mounted, you will run into this issue. I unmounted all ISO's on every VM, so this issue should be fixed.

(Quote) The System was hitting 90%+, KSM did already engage. So without setting a hard limit to ZFS I guess with any I/O intensive application you may get banged anytime. 3-4GB should be fine tho, I hope.
-
(Quote) The 50% is a LIE, that used 90% of the hole system memory. echo "options zfs zfs_arc_max=4294967296" \| sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/zfs.conf Applied this now on the machines and reboot, will see if that's enough.

I was actually expecting that ZFS would release memory if its getting thin. But thanks for the reminder to set a cap at xGB and override the default one.
-
(Quote) Default ZFS config, right now the system is using about 900MB including bloatmox UI. I don't really see much memory usage, but I am also not doing a lot of I/O operations. I would give it a try if you got 32GB systems or higher, but I won't…
