Just received an email with lots of personal info with the subject line: hostsolutions.ro hacked, Thanks for your data! No idea if this is new / old news, I haven't been on the forum for quite a while.

(Quote) ...and remember to check whether the jumper is set for the internal or external aerial. Couldn't work out why it was dropping out more than the other ESP32s I have.

(Quote) Heh, sorry, I should have made it a bit clearer. (Quote) Seems like a good idea!

(Quote) This. Gave up running my own mail servers a few years ago, went to Mxroute, not had any serious problems since. As @Mr_Tom says, running a couple of servers for personal use isn't a full time job, but you do need to put some effort in keepin…

1.8026×10^12 aka the speed of light in furlongs per fortnight.

Man, I loved my ServersNV VPS. More ram than I could use, never fell over, and was cheaper than a night out.

(Quote) But KVM is one third potassium, which has to be a bonus?

(Quote) I think I might have taken a bit too much dimesmeric andersonphosphate this morning.

I just want to thank all of the members of the forum who reached out to help Smallweb. That's what makes a community work and LES a nice place to be.

(Quote) I used MailScanner, ClamAV, Spamassassin, Mailwatch, plus various selfhosted blacklists, etc for years. Finally tired of the effort of it for ~5 low volume domains and shifted to using MXRoute. Jarland and I disagree about a few of his confi…

(Quote) "We should have an open and honest relationship," she said. "Your mother talks so much I'm amazed she doesn't starve, but then maybe you share fat genes with her," said I. Hilarity ensued.

The third one went with strangulation.

I should have probably learned my lesson after I saw the second one sharpening her nails.

@evnix /64 is, what, 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 addresses? That's enough to individually address each cell of your body. @foxone underestimates though, by my maths 2^-64 is 5.4210109e-20, so 5.42e-18% of the total address space. My maths is usuall…

China and Vietnam.

(Quote) I thought you just won everything you use? You actually paid for something?

Depends on whether this is lowendspirit or not. Low end feels like $7/month. If you want your fancy $10/month premium packages, there's probably another place you should visit.

(Quote) How do you manage that though? Is the answer to only allow provider tags to companies vouched for by a (respected?) member?

Has LES started a deadpool death pool yet?

Didn't we already do this? Anyway 1. Virmach bugger, erm Inception, FFS, is Gullo on there? * Gullo's shenanigans * Virmach. No problems with them this year except they keep taking my money in exchange for functional goods or services.

I just played with Nginx Amplify (not self-hosted), which does a reasonable job at monitoring nginx and system data on up to 5 "servers". Prometheus is probably better for self-hosting, with Chronograf or Grafana.

LES, the double duck, various self-hosted sites, and Facebook to see how the other half entertain themselves.

Romanian storage is not just for Christmas.

I'd go firewalld not iptables on Centos too.

Ionswitch: 1vCPU, 1GB Ram, 10GB. $0 (probably non recurring). I logged a ticket last week asking if they wanted to cancel it as I've had it for longer than they said it was free for... and they deleted the ticket. Anyone know anything about Ionswit…

Do ESP32 and ESP8266 count?
